Live the Language Mandarin School has a study abroad program for every student. Whether you’re focused solely on intensive Chinese study or prefer group study with a side of Kung Fu, our course is fully customizable to meet your needs. You can build an individual program by choosing the type of class, length of study, elective options and even immersion services.

Course Organization

  • Small Group - Maximum 6 students, 55 minutes per class at LtL Sunshine 100 Campus
  • 1-on-1 - 60 minutes per class at LtL Sunshine 100 Campus, your home or preferred downtown location
  • Culture Classes - Each Culture Class lasts 60 minutes, and you may take different classes each week.

This course includes 20 hours per week of Small Group Class. A Small Group Class on average has 3 students, but is guaranteed to never have more than 6 students. This is a great option for beginner students and first-time visitors to China.

This course includes 20 hours per week of Small Group Class and 10 hours per week of 1-on-1 Class. A Small Group Class on average has 3 students, but is guaranteed to never have more than 6 students. In addition to this communal classroom environment, the 1-on-1 course hours give you the opportunity to clarify questions and receive the individual attention you need to advance your studies more quickly.

This course includes 20 hours per week of Small Group Class and 10 hours per week of Chinese Culture Class. A Small Group Class on average has 3 students, but is guaranteed to never have more than 6 students. Chinese Culture Classes are taught by trained professionals in each field. Options range from kung fu to calligraphy to cooking and much more.

This course includes 20 hours per week of 1-on-1 Class. Classes can be scheduled either at the school or at a location of your choosing. The course is a perfect option for more advanced learners or students looking to study industry specific vocabulary.

This course includes 30 hours per week of 1-on-1 Class. Classes can be scheduled either at the school or at a location of your choosing. In addition to the option of an individualized curriculum, the extra 10 hours per week offer an intensive study experience.

How the enrollment process works

  1. Choose a course - You may take one type of class or a combination of several types. It all depends on your personal learning goals and study style. Course lengths are flexible, with options for as little as one week or as much as one year. If you’re not sure which course is best for you, our Student Advisors would be happy to help you decide.
  2. Choose a location - Our main campus is in Beijing, but we also have full immersion programs in Tianjin and Chengde. All our locations are in Northern China to ensure you have opportunities to both learn and practice Mandarin on a daily basis. Read more about locations
  3. Choose accommodation - LtL can arrange for a homestay with a Chinese family, a shared apartment with other students, or hostel stay right next to campus. Options include full board, half board and accommodation only. Read more about accommodation
