For both new and experienced students,a group class is the perfect Mandarin course for rapid improvement. By interacting with other students and engaging in active conversations,you are able to immediately practice your new vocabulary and sentence patterns while also benefitting from the questions asked by other students.
LTL is committed to providing an optimal learning environment, which is why all our group classes have a maximum of 6 students. This is the ideal size for interacting with others while still receiving the personal attention you need to succeed in your studies.
Course Schedules
All group classes run for 12 weeks from their starting dates and meet on a fixed weekly schedule.

Level A1 is geared towards absolute beginners who quickly want to be able to communicate in daily life. It focuses on the basics of tones and pronunciation in order to lay the foundation for your study in China. This class also teaches you survival phrases such as how to introduce yourself and ask for directions.
Pre-Requisites: None
Level A2 is geared towards students who have already completed a beginner course either with Live the Language Mandarin School,via the Internet or with a private tutor and now would like to expand their conversation skills. It focuses on reinforcing tones and pronunciation as well as basic grammar structures. You’ll learn words for more in-depth conversation such as traveling and making phone calls.
Pre-Requisites: Students should already know 300-400 words or have completed Level A1
Level B1 is geared towards students who can already master basic conversations and would like to increase their vocabulary in order to express more complex issues. It focuses on spoken Chinese with the addition of intermediate grammar. You’ll learn words for advanced conversation such as serious bargaining and negotiating with a landlord.
Pre-Requisites: Students should already know at least 600 words or have completed Level A2
